Our Video Editing Process
These are the phases of our video editing projects:
Phase 1: Onboarding.Every project we work on begins with a conversation. What are your goals, what is your budget, and when do you need the work completed? We’ll need to understand how much video film you need to be edited and what your expectations are at the end of the project. We’ll give you a price estimate and turn-around time and assign a point of contact to facilitate questions and collaboration; we’ll ask you to do the same on your end, assign a point of contact for questions and collaboration.
Phase 2: Asset sharing. What we need from you:
- Raw footage uploaded through a cloud service (Dropbox, OneDrive, Google Drive, Box are a few examples)
- Your branding, including your color palette, logos, fonts and brand guidelines
- Scripts (if used), so we can match speech with video where necessary
Phase 3: Post-production film editing. Once we have a full understanding of your video editing needs, and we have the materials from you, our process begins. We edit your video, select music, add text and graphics, enhance video and sound, and create the edited video.
Phase 4: Review and revise. We’ll send you a first draft of the edited video, along with instructions and a deadline for giving us feedback. Our video editors then review your feedback, make further edits and, if necessary, schedule a call to review anything that’s not clear. We’ll upload your final edited video via the same cloud-based channel we agreed on during Phase 1.
Let’s Roll: Request a Quote
The big question: How much does video editing cost? Our answer is the one that no one likes: It depends. Video editing rates range from $75 to $150 or more per hour, depending on the level of skills you need and the technology involved. Let’s talk about your project, so we can give you a realistic idea of the cost to edit your video.
